WESTCAS is the Voice of Water Quality in the arid west, and thus WESTCAS strives to be a reliable source of information about water issues to our members and the public. Our WESTCAS members are in daily telephone and email communication with each other regarding current water issues.

WESTCAS provided comments to EPA regarding the proposed Clean Water Act Guidance to implement the U.S. Supreme Court Decision for Rapanos and Carabel Cases (Docket No. EPA-HQ-OW-2007-0282) on January 21, 2008.

Beginning in May, the NACWA Network will now be known as the Clean Water Exchange, and is being sponsored by NACWA, the American Public Works Association (APWA), and the Water Environment Federation (WEF). The monthly NACWA Network News will now be known as the Clean Water Exchange News Alerts. WESTCAS is a network partner with NACWA, and thus will publish the monthly news alert on our web-site for the benefit of WESTCAS members beginning with the May 2007 edition, as follows.
